Job description

Overview
The SAP ABAP Consultant plays an essential role in designing, developing, and maintaining SAP applications using advanced business application programming (ABAP) language. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of business processes within the SAP environment and implementing innovative solutions using BTP and RAP technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Design, develop, and customize SAP applications using ABAP programming language
  • Integrate SAP systems with other applications and platforms
  • Provide technical expertise and support for SAP implementation projects
  • Optimize and enhance existing ABAP programs to improve performance and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Conduct testing and debugging of SAP applications
  • Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP solutions
  • Provide training and support to end-users
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP environment
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Support system upgrades and enhancements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant or similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP ABAP programming language
  • Experience in developing applications within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
  • Familiarity with Rapid Application Development (RAP) within the SAP environment
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules and integration points
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in consulting or client-facing roles
  • Knowledge of SAP best practices and methodologies
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Certifications in SAP ABAP or related technologies would be an advantage
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies
