Our client is a leading provider of market intelligence for the international schools sector. Established as the recognized authority in tracking global trends and developments, they offer real-time data, comprehensive reports, and expert insights. Their services are designed to support stakeholders in navigating the evolving international schools market, ensuring informed decision-making and strategic growth.
Due to the progress of a major project they are working on, they are seeking an IT Project Manager to support the final stages, which are expected to last for another six months. While there may be additional projects for this role to assist with afterward.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scope Definition:
• Oversee and manage the current project scope, objectives, and deliverables, adjusting them where required, in collaboration with stakeholders
• Continue to ensure the key requirements for the front and back-end overhaul are aligned with business goals and end-user needs
• Produce a detailed project plan that includes timelines, milestones, and resources for the final phases of the development
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
• Lead a small, cross-functional team, based in the Philippines, which consists of Full Stack Developers, Data Manager, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, QA Specialist and Cloud Ops Engineer as well as and I.T & Security Manager (based in the UK) 2 including software developers, data engineers, UX/UI designers, and system architects
• Facilitate effective communication across departments to align project goals and tasks
• Mentor and guide team members. This is a fairly new team who already work in a collaborative environment. The Project Manager will continue to factor in their development and training, ensuring they have the skills to meet future project requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Act as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and project teams
• Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and potential delays
• Engage with senior leadership to ensure the project supports strategic business objectives
Budget Management & Resource Allocation:
• Reassess and manage the project budget, ensuring resources are efficiently allocated
• Identify and address resource gaps, working with HR and procurement to ensure the necessary talent and tools are in place
• Monitor and report on financial metrics related to the project, adjusting plans as necessary to stay within budget
Risk Management & Issue Resolution:
• Proactively identify and assess project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring quick and effective resolutions to keep the project on track. Develop contingency plans to address potential project obstacles
Quality Assurance & Testing Oversight:
• Work closely with the QA team to ensure system integrity and performance through rigorous testing protocols
• Oversee quality control efforts to confirm the project meets technical and user requirements
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and implement necessary changes based on feedback
Post-Implementation Review & Continuous Improvement:
• Lead a comprehensive project debrief to evaluate outcomes against objectives.
• Identify lessons learned and recommend process improvements for future projects.
• Oversee initial support post-implementation, ensuring smooth transition to maintenance teams.
Benefits
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with proven success managing complex projects
• Experience in Salesforce, ISO 27001, and Sharepoint
• Demonstrated experience in front and backend system integrations, particularly in data-centric environments
• Familiarity with both traditional and Agile project management methodologies
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, open approach to teamwork
• Strong Organization and multitasking skills with attention to detail
• Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to stay calm under pressure
