Adobe is seeking a strategic HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor and coach to our Engineering business leaders across EMEA. Currently reporting into the Vice President of EMEA Employee Experience, this role will also be responsible for driving the people agenda across the business in Romania. Bucharest is a high growth location for Adobe, predominantly housing EMEA engineering teams in a site of over 1,100 people.
This role will enable the continued growth of the Engineering organisation in EMEA through strategic business partnership with Engineering leaders across the region. The role will also have a broader EX site leadership role in Bucharest and will work in partnership with COE leaders to ensure the EX people strategy for Romania and EMEA Engineering is delivered with impact.
You will also liaise closely with the global and regional Digital Experience (DX) and Digital Media (DME) Engineering Business Partners ensuring alignment across geographies. Additionally, you will work closely with EMEA EX COE partners including, but not limited to, Talent development, Total Reward, DEI, Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition.
This position is an integral part of the EMEA HR Business Partnering team, contributing to thought leadership on people and organisational topics, as well as demonstrating deep knowledge of Engineering. The EMEA HRBP team is a small but impactful team partnering with business leaders across the region, we are a team that delivers for our employees and leaders, while also creating time to engage and have fun as a team along the way!

What you’ll do:


• Serve as a trusted commercial business partner to the EMEA Engineering VPs, driving the people strategy for these teams, including coaching for organisational effectiveness and high-performance culture
• Operate in an EX site leadership capacity for Bucharest and oversee the implementation of multiple people practices, spanning both operational and strategic initiatives
• Direct management for Engineering HR Business partners, who are responsible for partnering with Engineering teams across EMEA
• You will be responsible for developing organisational and people strategies to support Engineering growth objectives through strategic collaboration with business leaders, global business partners and EX COEs teams
• Provide leadership across multiple people topics such as organisational design, talent management, employee development, DEI, change management and performance optimisation
• Champion a positive organisational culture in alignment with the Adobe values and be an advocate for embedded DEI practices
• Provide objective data-based perspectives on relevant organisational and people matters and recommend and implement appropriate strategies to address key issues
• Provide leadership in the areas of organisational design and development, talent development, change management processes and process re-engineering
• Guide the regional talent management process, alignment of resources to top business priorities, and build capabilities needed to achieve a stated vision and strategy
What you’ll need to succeed:
• Experience in a strategic high profile HR role with multiple VP+ relationships and demonstrable experience in influencing and coaching senior leaders
• Highly collaborative and experienced in working in a global matrixed environment, demonstrating sustained expertise in building strong partnerships with global BP peers, serving as the voice of the region and providing thought leadership
• Strong commercial acumen and a track record of sustained impact in a regional Business Partner role, encompassing talent management, leadership coaching, change management and problem solving
• Deep experience in a Romanian based strategic BP role is a must, coupled with strong knowledge of legislative requirements
• Bring an authentic style to business partnering by demonstrating a proven ability to develop deep and trusted relationships and partnerships, showcasing exemplary communication and influencing skills
• Experience leading and developing a high performing regional team, preferably across multiple geographies, with demonstrable experience of engaging and developing talent
• Experience of influencing stakeholders with compelling, data-driven insights and recommendations
• Experience designing, leading and implementing complex change management initiatives
• Strong conflict management skills
• Be self-directed and motivated. Able to manage conflicting priorities and operate at pace
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiation skills
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
