Position Overview

The Clinical Product Educator (CPE) is a remote-based role dedicated to providing exceptional training and support to individuals initiating Omnipod System therapy. The CPE will deliver virtual training sessions through platforms such as Webex, Teams, and Zoom.

By leveraging phone, email, and virtual platforms, the CPE will guide customers through their Omnipod initial onboarding and training, fostering long-term customer satisfaction and retention.

This role requires a deep understanding of the available Omnipod Systems.  Successful candidates will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving the lives of people with diabetes.

The CPE will report to the Head of Operations and collaborate closely with the Clinical Sales Specialist team.

This is a full-time position with a flexible work schedule, primarily Monday to Friday, with potential for evening or weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver customized virtual group training programs to address the specific needs of different customer segments, including those transitioning from multiple daily injections, upgrading from previous Omnipod systems, or switching from other insulin pump therapies.
  • Enhance training outcomes by grouping participants into targeted training sessions based on their current insulin delivery method.
  • Providing actionable feedback to management on program effectiveness and identifying opportunities for service enhancement.
  • Drive product adoption by collaborating with Territory Managers, Clinical Sales Specialists, and hybrids to ensure timely customer training, training progress updates, address territory needs and contribute to overall sales goals.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide clinical expertise to customers, as required.
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive training records and documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). This includes obtaining necessary virtual consents and signatures, ensuring timely submission of paperwork, and providing regular updates on training progress.
  • Effectively manage administrative tasks and ensure timely completion, with a strong emphasis on maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within Salesforce.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Professional healthcare designation – such as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Dietitian (RD)
  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
  • Certified Pod Trainer (CPT) (certification can be obtained upon hire).
  • Experience training and/or managing pump/pod patients strongly preferred
  • Prior industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Proven ability to conduct group virtual pump training sessions.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace for confidential meetings
  • Fluent in English (French an asset)

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in using virtual communication platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex) and productivity software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce).

Additional Information:  

  • The position can be remote, hybrid or in-person at our Oakville, Ontario offices. The preferred location is near Toronto.
  • Travel is estimated at 25% but will flex depending on business need.

NOTE: This position is eligible for 100% remote working arrangements (may work from home/virtually 100%; may also work hybrid on-site/virtual as desired). #LI-Remote
