Who you are:

The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, and have a keen eye for detail. This role is perfect for someone with a foundational level of accounting and finance knowledge who is looking to gain experience in the field and work in a collaborative fast-paced environment. This position will report to our Head of Finance.

Job Responsibilities:

As our Finance and Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for supporting Ketone-IQ’s Finance department through:

Bookkeeping and Accounting:
- Review Month End close entries for journal entry reclasses and accruals.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements).
- Generate various financial reports for management review.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Compile data and assist in preparing budget reports.
- Monitor budget performance and assist in identifying areas for cost reduction or improvement.
Financial Data Analysis:
- Perform financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights to management.
- Participate in projects to improve financial processes and systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Experienced in Microsoft Power BI, with skills in creating interactive dashboards, analyzing data trends, and building visual reports for actionable insights.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to learning.
