Job description

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.

We’re looking for a collaborative and enthusiastic Program Lead to join our growing Talent Management team, and to help us drive key talent initiatives such as performance management, talent reviews, and career development frameworks. In this role, you’ll oversee mid-size projects, collaborate strategically with our cross-functional partners, and develop clear, impactful communications for Affirmers. This role is a great fit for someone with talent management expertise who is excited to help us manage our programs seamlessly, foster talent across a global tech company, and deliver meaningful impact. No fine print here. If this sounds like you, please READ ON!

What You’ll Do
  • Use your program and talent management skills to help our full suite of talent programs  run smoothly, overseeing portions of our larger programs as well as owning mid-sized projects from start to finish.
  • Communicate our programs to all Affirmers, including drafting communications plans, developing manager & employee resources, and crafting relevant training with the Learning & Development team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., Learning & Development, Compensation, People Technology) to build integrated talent solutions and ensure smooth operations.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements based on data-driven insights and career/industry best practices to improve our program metrics, processes, and overall effectiveness.
  • Ensure all records and documentation for talent management initiatives are accurate and up to date, maintaining data integrity for program systems and tools.
  • Play an essential role in testing and implementing Workday Talent processes, ensuring the technology seamlessly supports the practice or program.
What We Look For
  • At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources and/or Program Management, ideally within the tech industry and/or global organizations.
  • Talent management expertise, ideally with experience managing talent initiatives as part of a Talent Management function
  • 3+ years of experience managing complex programs or initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Experience writing employee or user communications for diverse (and ideally global) audiences – with an ability to simplify complex information to what matters most
  • Experience managing processes deployed by an HRIS (ideally Workday Talent modules) and partnering with systems teams is preferred
  • Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills (e.g., creating pivot tables, lookup functions, and visualizations) is preferred
  • A track record of data-informed and employee/user-centric decision-making
  • A collaborative team player who steps in to support team and organizational success, taking on tasks and responsibilities as needed to drive meaningful outcomes.
