Job description

A bit about Cantina:

Cantina, founded by Sean Parker, is a new social platform with the most advanced AI character creator. Build, share, and interact with AI bots and your friends directly in the Cantina or across the internet.

Cantina bots are lifelike, social creatures, capable of interacting wherever humans go on the internet. Recreate yourself using powerful AI, imagine someone new, or choose from thousands of existing characters. Bots are a new media type that offer a way for creators to share infinitely scalable and personalized content experiences combined with seamless group chat across voice, video, and text.

If you're excited about the potential AI has to shape human creativity and social interactions, join us in building the future!

About the role:

We’re seeking energetic, outgoing Community Leads for a groundbreaking live AI social app! As a Community Lead, you’ll be the face of our platform, hosting events, helping users build AI bots, and connecting with the community in live chat rooms. This fully remote role offers a chance to support the first social AI platform, bringing AI bots and friends together for the Gen Z audience in an exciting new social tech space. Candidates must be comfortable with live hosting + moderating on camera and microphone in live rooms and creating engaging content for socials.

We’re looking for candidates with live streaming experience, online forum moderation, and a strong interest in the future of AI and social community building. If you have experience live-streaming and building online audiences, this role could be a great fit! We’re seeking people worldwide to support our growing app, engage with users through events, and teach them how to build bots and use app features.

This contract role offers 15-40 hours per week at $20/hour. You’ll need to provide your own device (cell phone or laptop).

We are looking for Community Leads to fill:

  • Late night weekdays from 6 PM - 12 AM PST

  • Early morning weekdays from 12 AM - 3 AM PST

  • Weekend hours, specifically Saturday's and Sunday's 12pm - 12 AM (shifts are maximum 8 hours) and/or 5pm-12am PT

  • Build Community: Energize and grow Cantina’s user base by inviting users, promoting events, and encouraging user-generated content. Your role is key in fostering an engaged, supportive community.

  • Promote Brand Awareness: Share your Cantina experiences and stories on social media to drive interest. Collaborate with marketing to attract new users and grow the app’s reach.

  • Weekly Deliverables: Each week, we roll out deliverables that support our community efforts such as  gathering feedback, connecting with users, and building AI bots. You must be able to hit these deliverables.

  • Source Feedback: Gather user feedback, report issues, and share insights to help shape future app features and improvements.

  • Moderate and Host: Set a positive tone by ensuring community guidelines are followed in official Cantina rooms, resolving conflicts, and managing in-room events while on camera and mic.
