Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee Govuni's social and economic reform programs, including the Sovereign Social Fund, mental health initiatives, and dual citizenship programs
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve program objectives and maximize social impact
  • Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient and effective execution
  • Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to build partnerships and secure funding
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to program teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Represent Govuni at high-level meetings, conferences, and public events related to social initiatives
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in social and economic reform, incorporating them into program strategies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards across all programs
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership and board members on program progress and impact
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges in program execution
  • Lead efforts to scale successful initiatives and replicate them in other areas or communities as appropriate

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Public Policy, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in program management within social services or public policy
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing large-scale social or economic reform initiatives
  • Strong understanding of government operations, policy-making processes, and social impact assessment
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and resource allocation for complex programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in grant writing and securing funding for social initiatives
  • Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to social and economic reform programs
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice and community development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Experience working with international organizations or in a global context
  • Proficiency in a second language
  • Published work or research in areas related to social or economic reform
