Job description

American Modern Insurance Group is recruiting for a Field Adjuster to join our team! As a Field Adjuster, you will be working the frontlines of our business, supporting customers, in times of need and disaster. You will have the ability to work from home as well as use a company car when conducting property inspections throughout the western Tennessee area. Candidates must be located near Jackson, Lexington or Humboldt, TN area.

We're seeking an individual with excellent decision making skills, ability to work under pressure, solid organizational skills, exemplary customer service skills, as well as time management skills to balance various tasks in a standard work day.

  • Provide prompt contact to policy holders and conduct field inspections.
  • Handle field claims to conclusion, including investigation, documentation, coverage analysis and subrogation/salvage assessment.
  • Establish relationships with producing agencies.
  • Participation in catastrophe (CAT) duty as needed. CAT duty can be anywhere in the USA up to 3-4 weeks at a time.

Qualifications:

  • Previous property claims experience
  • Ability to scope, diagram and estimate property damages
  • Mobile home and Dwelling construction knowledge preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work/industry experience
  • A clean driving record and a valid driver's license are required
  • Ability to perform physical inspections; i.e. climb roofs, craw spaces
  • Proficiency in Symbility, Xactimate or similar estimating platform experience
  • Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Industry training, coursework, certifications are preferred. (AIC, CPSU, SCLA)
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, set-up, ascend and descend ladders in excess of 40 pounds.
