The Production Team at LILT
LILT’s Production Team is a global workforce, operating across four continents. We are passionate about localization and making information accessible to all. The Team spans project management, program management, quality, and talent management, working with some of the world’s largest organizations.

What You’ll Do
The Quoting Specialist is responsible for analyzing project requirements and providing accurate and competitive quotes in a timely manner. This role works closely with Production and Revenue teams to support strategic client relationships, optimize workflows, and increase profitability.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and localization-savvy professional with understanding of Desktop Publishing (DTP), Multimedia, E-learning, and file parsing. The ideal candidate will help ensure on-time quote delivery, workflow clarity, and reliable analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project requirements and provide accurate and competitive quotes and turnaround times for localization projects
Use common sense and knowledge of localization processes to extrapolate and provide estimates when time is of the essence rather than exact numbers
Reach out to and follow up with Customer Engineering, DTP, and Multimedia departments in case more extensive preparation is required in order to produce a quote
Collaborate with the Revenue team to understand project scopes and timelines
Review and analyze various file formats to determine localization needs
Provide cost estimates and timelines based on project complexity and requirements
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in localization, DTP, multimedia, and E-learning
Work closely with vendors and in-house teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services
Learn and understand specific customers’ needs and preferences and document throughputs and trends
Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotes to internal clients
Follow up on quotes in order to achieve the target acceptance rate
Monitor client satisfaction and any increases/decreases in their use of services
Apply analytics and critical thinking to improve workflows and increase margins
Understand buy and sell rate dynamics to meet Contribution Margin targets
Communicate project information to necessary parties in a clear, concise, and professional manner
Convey approved customer requests effectively to the Production team
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in localization quoting, specifically with DTP, Multimedia, E-learning, and file parsing
Strong understanding of localization processes and industry standards
Proficiency in various file formats and ability to parse and analyze them effectively
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Translation, Localization, Linguistics, or a related field
Familiarity with localization tools and software is a plus
Knowledge of multiple languages is an advantage
2-4 years of experience in customer-facing activities related to the localization/translation/project management fields

Our founders, Spence and John met at Google working on Google Translate. As researchers at Stanford and Berkeley, they both worked on language technology to make information accessible to everyone. They were amazed to learn that Google Translate wasn’t used for enterprise products and services inside the company and left to start a new company to address this need – LILT.
At its core, LILT has always been a machine learning company since its incorporation on March 6, 2015. At the time, machine translation didn’t meet the quality standard for enterprise translations, so LILT assembled a cutting-edge research team tasked with closing that gap.
