Position at eXp Mexico

We are one of the first all-remote companies with 2,000+ team members utilizing our virtual office called eXp world. This role is work-from-anywhere in Mexico.
The total base pay for this position is between MXN 250,000 - MXN 350,000 per year, and is dependent upon location, experience, skills, and training.

What you will do:
Talent & People Business Partner (PBP) Support:
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to ensure operational excellence in all international People matters, including hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, etc.
  • Provides subject-matter expertise and partners with PBP on performance matters, such as cost-to-separate calculations, separation requests, and preparation and execution of legal documents.
People Services Support:
  • Owns providing world-class People & Payroll support to staff in the CALA region, either in-house or in partnership with third-party HRO/payroll vendors
  • Owns third party HR & payroll relationships - drive resolution of issues, partner with vendors to identify and implement process and communication improvements, review and renegotiate rates in high-growth countries
  • Partner with eXp legal team to review and execute various engagement agreements (independent consulting agreements, side letters, employment agreements, etc)
  • Owns due diligence, recommendation, and implementation of plans for launching new countries and for transition to local PEO providers and/or to in-house support.
  • Cross-train with People Tech team to provide back-up coverage as needed for data changes in HRIS, basic report generation and distribution, and helpdesk support.
Payroll:
  • Manages third party payroll vendors: ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, documented payroll processes, and provides cross-training to regional colleagues.
  • Approves payroll invoices for funding and reviews/approves invoices for international contractors
  • Partners with legal and global ops team to provide recommendations to leadership on options to engage resources in accordance with local labor laws (independent contractors, employees, interns, temps, etc)
  • Owns ensuring staff are set up for their first payroll timely and accurately, including any required registrations, medical checks, and background checks are completed.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR as a generalist or manager, preferably in multiple CALA countries (Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Peru)
  • Minimum 2-3 years basic payroll process management experience or a desire to learn quickly
  • Strong understanding of international labor laws, employment regulations, and compliance requirements, particularly in the CALA region.
  • Spanish and English proficiency required; Portuguese a plus!
  • Proficiency with HRIS, payroll platforms, Google Suite and eager to learn emerging technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic recommendations.
