PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position will successfully guide and accelerate the segments, profitability, and growth as a part of our strategic plan, and to provide day-to-day leadership of the Direct Sales Teams, Energy and OEM segments.

The current focus is on:

  • Developing and executing a strategy for top line, sustainable & profitable growth.

  • Implementing solid sales discipline throughout the segment, including influence for shared services support functions:

    • Commercial process improvement: growth opportunity funnel through order entry and post-sale support.

    • Evolve Key account management processes that support sustained growth and defends our market position.

    • SIOP process development: supplier management, DMI, Quality, and Delivery.

  • Talent Management – acquire right talent and build/maintain discipline around talent management process within segment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership, Talent, and Team Development

  • Develops an effective team-based culture where the segment focuses on the critical few, achieves its commitments and wins with an outstanding team.

  • Fosters a spirit of success through routine milestone achievements.

  • Encourages stretch thinking to drive breakthrough results.

  • Establishes a continuous improvement mindset supported by strong commercial execution.

  • Passionately promotes employee development.

Order Attainment and Sales Leadership

  • Directs dedicated sales management on key strategic customers/targets.

  • Develops top growth initiatives.

  • Oversee segment sales forecasts and tactical plans required to achieve or surpass forecasted results.

  • Works with shared process owners to ensure that KPIs are collected to monitor progress.

  • Visits Energy and OEM customers to monitor execution of commercial strategy and collect segment VOC.

Order Fulfillment

  • Applies current tools to the order to cash cycle to deliver world class execution that exceeds customer expectations.

  • Identifies and Delivers year-over-year process evolution of quote to order & aftermarket processes

  • Works with production to ensure that we are meeting customer commitments.

Service and Aftermarket

  • Helps develop strategic and tactical plans in pursuit of growth and profit objectives.

  • Helps to prioritize new product opportunities and recommends development plans.

  • Works with process owners to ensure that KPI’s are collected to monitor progress and ensure that the service and aftermarket processes have been appropriately integrated.

Strategic Development

  • Helps identify and define new business and product opportunities.

  • Helps develop strategic plans and executes tactical plans in pursuit of growth and profit objectives.

  • Works with process owners to ensure that the KPIs are collected to monitor progress.

  • Enables legal compliance, accounting controls, financial planning and forecasting, human resource review and employee communications.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Engineering or Business Management, Engineering, Operations or Sales, and Marketing background.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience of management experience in an operations leadership and/or factory management role. The successful candidate must have a proven track record, demonstrated by a progressive level of growth in responsibility and successful demonstration of leadership/business competencies.

  • Excellent business and commercial acumen.

  • The successful candidate should be a true change agent, driven by the principles of continuous improvement.

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel based on business needs.

  • Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) that serve to influence and persuade others.

  • Must have good organizational abilities.

  • Must be self-motivated.

MANAGEMENT SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational insight.

  • Team builder, strong communication and motivational skills, a problem solver, and action oriented.

  • The individual must have extensive global business experience. A strong commercial background, ability to effectively influence differing channels in differing geographies (Distribution, OEM, Direct). Outstanding large customer facing communications and interaction skills.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTIC:

  • A “hands on” professional who leads by example and motivates individuals at the company, at all levels, to strive for success and excellence.

  • Strong management and supervisory skills.

  • An anticipatory style that enables him/her to advise management, and to identify problems and opportunities for line management.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.

  • Ability to move within product installation sites and customer locations.

  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
