About the role
We’re looking for a Field Property Claims Specialist II to join our growing team in the London and surrounding area !
As a Field Property Claims Specialist II, you’ll be reporting to the Unit Claims Manager, Property, and will be responsible for the inspection of property damage, restoration or replacement valuation. This will be done via a mix of virtual review and onsite inspection. The successful candidate will provide quality service, ensure prompt, quality of work and equitable settlement of claims in line with corporate policies and standards.
What you’ll do here:
- Conduct random and focused on site re-inspections to ensure satisfactory completion of repairs in accordance with contractors' agreements, quality, timelines and estimate. Compose summary reports on Rely vendor performance and, if necessary, formulate recommendations for further action.
- Conduct virtual estimate reviews on XactAnalysis as assigned by manager.
- Conduct field inspections to evaluate property damage and evaluate replacement or restoration requirements including direct and in-person contact with insured, claimants, and service providers.
- Determine and/or establish key measures to monitor personal efforts and service levels.
- Maintain current knowledge of insurance products as well as appraisal and investigation techniques and services. Identify needs for process improvement and recommend changes to policies or procedures to maintain quality service and competitiveness.
- Establish and refine best practices workflows. Establish procedures and communication plans to ensure the workflows and business practices are executed consistently in all regional offices.
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum of 5 years of disaster restoration industry experience.
- University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
- High-level knowledge of the Xactimate estimating software.
- Sense of urgency and willingness to manage a changing schedule due to unpredictable events.
- Positive attitude while adapting to changing priorities and taking ownership of work.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Strong ability to collaborate and influence diverse groups.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Expectation to travel on short notice
- Advance drone operating license or the willingness to pursue a license is preferred
