We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a Claims Specialist. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact by offering early, timely, and personalised support to workers, employers, and stakeholders.

This will be a permanent, full time position based in our Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve the optimum outcome of early sustainable return to work for workers with reasonable claim costs.
• Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders regularly to progress strategies and actions.
• Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policy, in accordance with EML procedures.
• Proactively manage rehabilitation providers and approval of rehabilitation plans/wellness plans.
• Conduct health promotion activities to enhance the injured worker’s wellbeing and empower them to participate in their own treatment and recovery.

ABOUT YOU

• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Sound negotiation and influencing skills.
• Empathy and understanding for others.
• The ability to effectively listen and understand the needs of the customer and what is important to them to enable their recovery and return to work.
• Basic understanding of common medical terminology or allied health experience
• Knowledge of the relevant worker’s compensation legislation and regulations is desired.
