Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Primary responsibilities for the following finance functions (not all-inclusive)
    • Serve as the lead for the Financial Reporting Team as it relates to combinations
    • Work directly with Finance Senior Manager/M&A Lead in integration due diligence, planning, and purchase accounting execution
    • Collect and analyze Finance-related information, identify issues and potential risks, and translate incoming records to be in accordance with regulatory and statutory reporting standards.
  • Other responsibilities for the following finance functions (not all-inclusive):
    • Month-end close activities including journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
    • Financial statement analysis
    • Provide support to Firm Partners and managers regarding financial reporting matters
    • Support and enhance internal business unit and firm operations by acquiring knowledge of firm operations and identifying opportunities for improvement
    • Proactively maintain and expand knowledge base in areas of responsibility. Integrate new knowledge and skills into daily work and share with colleagues, as appropriate
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • CPA License preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, as well as the ability to work independently with technical competence in accounting.
  • Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and executive presence
  • Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills that include knowing when to escalate decisions and issues. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, maintain confidentiality, and display appropriate ethical knowledge.
  • A sense of urgency and a commitment to quality and timely completion of projects.
  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) technical knowledge, skills, and experience.
