Silex is seeking an Senior Delivery Engineer to implement and maintain an enterprise RAG platform. This role will focus on the AI/ML components of the platform, including vector database implementation, model integration, and RAG pipeline development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement RAG architecture components and workflows
- Set up and optimize vector database solutions
- Develop model gateway and API integrations
- Implement Azure OpenAI service integrations
- Develop security controls for AI components (PII detection, prompt injection prevention)
- Create and maintain Python-based services and APIs
- Participate in technical design discussions
- Support testing and performance optimization
- Maintain technical documentation
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong Python programming skills
- Experience with LangChain/LangGraph frameworks
- Knowledge of vector databases (Weaviate, Qdrant, or similar)
- Experience with REST API development
- Background in LLM integration and deployment
- Understanding of RAG architectures and implementations
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure OpenAI or other LLM platforms
- Knowledge of enterprise security practices
- Background in search or information retrieval
- Experience with PII handling and data privacy
- Familiarity with Kong API gateway (experience with AI proxy plugins would be beneficial)
- Experience with AWS services
- Open source contributions to AI/ML projects
Location: Remote with occasional in-person meeting. May need to be onsite for the first few weeks of the engagement (Nashville, TN).
