Job Title: Intermediate Accountant
Location:
Remote (PST Time Zones)
Salary Range:
up to 2000 USD

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (PST)

Position Overview:

We looking for a self-motivated Intermediate Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate loves challenging work, is obsessively organized, and has a commitment to continuous improvement. This role involves providing non-assurance accounting services for private entities and small to mid-sized public companies across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Handle bookkeeping for multiple public and private clients across industries such as e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, cannabis, blockchain, mining, and biotechnology.
  • Audit Working Papers: Maintain various audit working papers and liaise with clients' external auditors.
  • Currency and Tax Management: Work with different functional currencies and manage commodity tax filings for clients (e.g., GST, PST).
  • Record Management: Maintain organized e-records of invoices/statements.
  • Administrative Support: Perform other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Language Skills: Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of full-cycle accounting experience; exposure to accounting software like QuickBooks and Sage is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with financial reporting and bookkeeping practices; experience with audit-related tasks is a plus.
  • Attributes: Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in the mining industry.
  • Bachelors degree or diploma specializing in accounting.
