This Data Engineer role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing graph-based solutions using Neo4j. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to create scalable, high-performance graph database architectures. This role requires a combination of strong development skills and strategic thinking to integrate Neo4j solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Neo4j graph database models and architectures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and implement efficient graph-based solutions.
- Optimize existing Neo4j database performance, including tuning queries and graph structure.
- Develop custom Cypher queries and implement procedures for various data manipulation tasks.
- Integrate Neo4j solutions with existing enterprise systems.
- Provide guidance and technical leadership on graph database best practices.
- Develop documentation for system architecture, design, and operational processes.
- Stay updated with the latest Neo4j updates and graph database technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Neo4j development and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of graph theory and its application in data solutions.
- Expertise in Cypher query language and graph data modeling.
- Experience with performance tuning of Neo4j databases.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and Neo4j cloud deployments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in other graph databases or NoSQL technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Neo4j Certified Professional certification.
- Familiarity with integration frameworks (e.g., APIs, REST, or Kafka).
- Background in building enterprise-level solutions involving large datasets.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools for graph data (e.g., Neo4j Bloom, Process Tempo).
