About our Team
 

We have an outstanding opportunity available in our Singapore office for a Senior Analyst to join a team focused on the recycled plastics sector. We will also consider remote working for the right candidate who is based outside of Singapore.
 

About the Role
 

This role will be central to the delivery of high quality data and analysis on the plastics recycle value chain as well as development of an exciting new suite of products and services. This provides an opportunity to help deliver our company’s strategy. This is a perfect next step for an analyst in the Recycling industry sector with the ambition to become an expert in a fast growing and socially important sector.

There will be a strong research element to the role, with data gathering and relationship building within the industry expected. A high level of internal collaboration will be required with colleagues around the world and across different functions.

This role would suit an individual with experience in Recycling or a related commodities or environmental sciences sector.  The role will provide exposure to this company’s global team of industry experts and analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Generating company data and analysis in the plastics recycling sector
  • Developing deep understanding of recycling market drivers and contribute to the production of written analysis explaining and providing detailed insight into market developments
  • Providing fundamental data research relevant to the plastics recycling value chain
  • Maintaining and regular updating of key data sets effectively
  • Generating ideas for expansion in this sector
  • Engaging with the industry and clients through event/conference attendance, client engagement and other marketing activities
  • Presenting the team’s analysis and representing ICIS at related events
  • Broadening and adding further detail to our coverage of our plastic recycling data sets and analytics


Requirements

  • Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the Recycling or related industry
  • Be able to demonstrate interest in the circular economy and in contributing to its development (Sustainability or Chemical Engineering)
  • Have proven quantitative and qualitative research skills either in education or employment.
  • Have good attention to detail and high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Be an excellent communicator and have an aptitude for building contacts and networks.
  • Experience with forecast modelling software and methodologies would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the polymer industries would be advantageous
