Position Summary 

CJ Hensch & Associates, Inc. is based in Texas and specializes in traffic data collection and engineering studies since 1995. CJ Hensch is the largest traffic data collection company in Texas and services governmental agencies, engineering firms, and developers.  In November 2023, CJ Hensch was acquired by Miovision.  Together, CJ Hensch and Miovision are working to change the traffic data collection industry through technology, resulting in faster, accurate and more insightful data for our customers.  

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Executive (BDE) to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of CJ Hensch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within the engineering sector, particularly in transportation and Mobility. As a BDE, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and overseeing the development and execution of strategic initiatives to expand our market presence.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to engage accounts across the private sector to deliver against revenue targets.
  • Sell our solutions for Traffic Data Collection, Active Transportation/Mobility Studies, Roundabout, Screenline, Speed, and Safety (Near-Miss Analysis).
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Lead the development of compelling proposals in collaboration with technical teams, showcasing CJ Hensch’s capabilities and solutions.
  • Establish partnerships and collaborations to expand service offerings and market reach.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years experience in business development in the engineering or transportation industry.
  • Ability to source, process and analyze information with proven ability to deliver high quality and persuasive proposals.
  • Strong result-driven mindset while being able to work in a team
  • Strong understanding of transportation infrastructure, traffic management, and related technologies.
  • Ability to interact with several stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends.
