The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for developing a network of contacts cross-org that include: compliance, cardbrand liaisons, settlement accounting, legal entity accounting, systems administrators, and operations support teams.

This position will leverage those teams to help track and enact swift changes deemed necessary by the results of their team’s analysis.  In addition, they will be responsible for keeping up on bulletins and rate change notifications and communicating them to the broader team for detailed analysis and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Developing a new role and finance function that does not exist today

  • Leverage their own association specific-knowledge and the knowledge of our other internal resources to perform detailed analyses world-wide

  • Foster and maintain relationships with Compliance, Accounting, Systems and Operations teams

  • Deliver rate change information, summaries and scheduling, with affected volumes

  • Manage monthly and quarterly reporting to cardbrands like FANF, BIN volumes, etc.

  • Identify and close gaps between system estimates and actual expenses, report on the gap and it’s closure

  • Assist in special ad-hoc analyses

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in merchant acquiring

  • Experience with acquiring systems

  • Ability to communicate detailed cardbrand-specific information to a less-informed audience in a meaningful and actionable way

  • Must be able to present information to various levels of the company providing appropriate level of detail and presentation dependent on audience

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Economics or related disciplines preferred

  • Expert knowledge in Excel with proficiency in PowerPoint, and Word required (Google Sheets is a plus).

  • Experience in playing a role in analyzing a highly complex business.

  • Strong organization and project management skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple transactions / tasks under tight deadlines and pressure.

  • Ability to drive innovation and business improvement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people with varying degrees of financial exposure.
