You are a talented, passionate and creative Hotel Task Force Manager with leadership skills as strong as your ability to lead and inspire each team member to provide exceptional guest experiences. You have the ability to innovate, identify, and solve problems, and make the hotel a positive and highly functioning place. You will work directly with the General Manager or act as General Manager in lieu of their absence.


You’ll look after all aspects of the lodge including front office, housekeeping, rooms, food and beverage. As an ambassador of The Indigo Road, you’ll authentically embrace Internal Hospitality, be a servant leader and authentically love what you do!


MAIN DUTIES

  • Be responsible for all aspects of hotel operations, day-to-day staff management, and guests.
  • Ensure compliance with SOP’s, policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Handle guest complaints and oversee service recovery process.
  • Manage budget and ensure revenue and guest satisfaction goals are met.
  • Ensure all decisions are in the best interests of the hotel and ownership company.
  • Develop short, and long-term strategic goals for performance improvement.
  • Need to understand the P&L statements and have the ability to react with impactful strategies.
  • Meet all report deadlines daily, weekly, and at month end.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management, and Sales to maximize room yield and hotel revenue.
  • Oversee and manage all departments and work closely with department heads daily.
  • Be responsible for occupational health, fire, and life safety.
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others, leading by example.
  • Advocate sound financial/business decisions achieve goals and maximize revenue, and achieve profitability.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
  • Strive to improve service performance.
  • Communicate clear and consistent message regarding processes throughout all departments.
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, standards and meeting the expectations of customers on a daily basis.
  • Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge and skills.
Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years of successful managing full-service hotels
  • Thrive in fast-paced and boutique hotel environments
  • Must be able to assist at a hotel for an extended period of time, approximately 6 months.
  • Must be flexible to travel 90% of the time
  • A positive, friendly and enthusiastic team player with excellent record of hotel management.
  • Strong problem management skills with accuracy in quickly handling emergency situations and providing solutions.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment and decision-making abilities.
