The IT Operations Administrator at phData will be expected to:

  • Manage and resolve IT support requests from employees spanning device, account, application, server, and service issues.
  • Answer employee questions regarding laptops, accounts, and cloud computing. 
  • Create and configure accounts for new employees, and de-provision accounts for departing employees.
  • Change configurations, settings, and permissions to fix computer issues.
  • Configure and ship new laptops to employees.
  • Wipe and reinstall OS on laptops received from exit employees for reuse.
  • Complete vendor trade-in program for old devices.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory.
  • Conduct timely review of security alerts across multiple platforms and maintain device security compliance statuses.
  • Work with different MDM systems and execute app deployments, policy implementations, and configuration automations.
  • Maintain an Entra ID domain with user accounts, dynamic groups, and enterprise app integrations.
  • Create proposal docs and technical documentation to drive well–defined IT implementations.
  • Provide on-site technical support for occasional events.

Experience and other requirements:

  • A total of 3+ years of experience with at least 1 year as a System Admin or Network admin.
  • Available to be in the Minneapolis office as needed, up to 3 days a week.
  • Hands-on experience with macOS, Windows 11, Windows Server, MDM, Google Workspace, MS Entra ID, AWS, MS Office 365
  • Extensive experience and excellent troubleshooting skills on all operating systems, laptop and desktop hardware, and other IT devices.
  • Knowledge of security and network monitoring tools and applications.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Windows and macOS installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Extensive customer support experience with being a good team player.
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Prefer any of the following hands-on experience: Windows, macOS, Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Intune (Microsoft Endpoint Manager), Office 365, Google Workspace/GSuite, Azure Sentinel, AWS Workspaces, AWS EC2 and networking, Windows Server, Jamf suite, Sophos endpoint security, Jira service management, OpenVPN, etc.
  • Experience in servers and virtualization. 
  • Experience in network (routing, switching, wireless, and security) infrastructure setup and maintenance.
  • Experience with SSO and SCIM configurations
