Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Leadership and Professional Development, the Faculty Trainer will develop faculty training based on institutional needs and evidence-based practices. These trainings engage and support the target audiences of over 1700 adjunct and full-time faculty and leadership development across 8 campuses and the Online Division. This is a remote position with work hours based on the Eastern Time Zone. 


Training Design and Delivery

  • Design and develop synchronous, hybrid, and asynchronous learning objectives.
  • Devise modes of assessment to measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives.
  • Support leadership training activities, including content development and evaluation.
  • Review program evaluations, test results, and participant and leadership feedback on training effectiveness to make recommendations for program improvement.
  • Identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles, course content, audience location point within the learning process.
  • Facilitates and delivers training, tracks faculty participation and compliance with training requirements.
  • Remain current on virtual learning and emerging technologies and methods.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve digital training instruction and learning.
  • Other duties, as assigned

Required Education

  • Master's Level Degree or equivalent in Education, Learning and Development, Leadership Development or a related field. 
  • PhD or EdD preferred.

Required Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in faculty training design and delivery working in a large institution.
  • At least 3 years of experience facilitating leadership development training.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating and planning faculty training projects.
  • Solid knowledge of adult learning theory and inclusive excellence framework, including how to apply it in the faculty training design process.
  • Solid planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Basic project management skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills necessary to interact with institutional leadership, faculty, and staff.
  • Background in training and learning design experience using Rise 360 or Articulate or similar training design methodology.
  • Proficient in audio and video editing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on-time results.
