Overview:

As a key member of the management team at Oak View Group, the Regional Finance Director will report to the East-Vice President of Finance Operations. In this role, you will drive financial excellence across 30-50 venues within your designated region. You will work closely with the region’s Vice Presidents of Operations, supporting them and collaborating with various departments to provide critical financial insights that align with organizational goals. Your leadership will be crucial in developing and guiding Area Finance Managers and General Managers, focusing on budgeting, financial planning, monthly operational accounting, and compliance. Additionally, you will lead the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of the field finance team, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with OVG’s objectives.

The Regional Finance Director must be detail-oriented and have a passion for rolling up his/her sleeves. This role pays a yearly salary of $130,000 to $150,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of the field finance team, ensuring their professional development and growth.
  • Conduct ongoing training sessions for the field finance team on new accounting procedures and financial programs.
  • Collaborate with Operations’ District Managers, Vice Presidents, and General Managers to administer policies and programs that achieve the region's financial and operational objectives.
  • Support new and current business start-ups by providing financial processes and guidance.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities through proforma reviews, customer reinvestment, investments, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Participate in strategic planning and long-term financial strategy development for the region.
  • Analyze financial data trends and generate detailed reports for senior management.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks within the region.
  • Evaluate processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and cost savings through continuous improvement, standardization, simplification, and automation.
  • Leverage financial technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Monitor working capital balance and requirements.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and controls, including AR, Change Fund, Customer Deposits, Deferred Income, and Accrued Expenses at field locations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and accounting standards across all venues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive financial strategies and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of the Quarterly Client Business Reviews.
Qualifications:
  • 5-7+ years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting field operations, or senior operations leadership experience with significant exposure to financial roles and requirements.
  • Proven experience managing multi-unit operations with a minimum responsibility of $75-$125 million revenue and/or 10+ venues.
  • Demonstrated experience as a “hands-on” finance professional, including leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience reconciling accounts using financial platforms, with the ability to perform manual reconciliations when necessary.
  • Proven experience conducting proformas, participating in RFPs, and developing costings, including detailed financial analysis and cost estimation.
  • Excellent understanding of budgeting, financial planning, compliance requirements, and ERP systems, with proficiency in financial analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing teams, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Experience managing back-office capabilities (A/P, A/R, Payroll).
  • NetSuite and Sage experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience providing 3rd party services and multi-site/contract experience preferred.
  • Remote with ability to travel 20-35%.
  • Detroit, Chicago, Florida locations preferred (All will be reviewed)
