 Sr. Cybersecurity Lead 

 

Great Plains Communications is looking for an experienced Sr. Cybersecurity Lead to join our growing team. 

 

This is a remote position that requires the person hired to reside in either Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana or Colorado.

 

Job Summary: The Sr. Cybersecurity Lead is responsible for implementing and overseeing the organization’s cybersecurity strategy. Collaborating with the security team, the Lead will identify, assess, and mitigate security risks while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role reports to the Director of Security & Infrastructure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cybersecurity programs and incident response plans.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy.
  • Conduct risk assessments and utilize security tools to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Promote security awareness through employee training.
  • Research and implement new cybersecurity technologies.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance with regulations.
  • Lead and manage team performance and vendor partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, with 5+ years of leadership experience in cybersecurity.
  • Strong knowledge of security concepts and practices, including familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, and compliance standards like GDPR and PCI DSS.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.
