Job Description

What you will be doing:

 

  • Provide essential administrative support to the group sales team, including responding to inquiries, blocking group space, generating proposals, and managing contracts.
  • Assist in the development and execution of group sales strategies.
  • Research and identify potential customers for Fairmont Southampton.
  • Manage small group inquiries independently, executing the process from detailing with client to contracting.
  • Monitor the progress of group sales leads and opportunities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to group customers.
  • Supporting Directors of Group Sales and National Accounts Manager, you will also help maintain existing account relationships and develop new ones.
  • Track the progress of group sales leads and opportunities.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to travel from time to time to resort to represent hotels onsite inspections, meetings, and training sessions to foster relationships, secure group bookings.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service or sales and/or marketing support role.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong business sense and an entrepreneurial mindset to drive new business and contribute to the organization's success.
  • Strong research and prospecting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to participate in incentive programs based on over-achievement of goals.
