Role Summary
As a senior build & release engineer you will be responsible to Introduce process, tools and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development lifecycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates.
Streamline Dev Team velocity via stable and robust deployment CI/CD pipeline process all while ensuring health via monitoring build progress logs, resolving broken build chains and observing dashboard metrics as new instances come online.
Creation and maintenance of fully automated deployment process which creates efficient DevOps organization.
What you will doResponsibility for NSG engineering product build releases Maintain and enhance existing build framework which currently utilizes Git, Jenkins, GNU make, Artifactory, etc. Architecture experience necessary to design, and implement, next generation build framework (GitHub Actions)Familiarity, preferably hands-on, with SonarQube and BlackDuckFirm understanding of Release Builds and Branch Management approachesAbility to create from scratch, and modify existing, pipeline scripts using Shell or PythonLinux/Unix Systems AdministrationIdentify and integrate open-source or 3rd party build and developer tools with existing systems to enable engineering teams to work more efficientlyContribute to the design and development of robust and resilient CI/CD pipelines for NSG productsComfortable working in a Globally dispersed team Respond to events and troubleshoot/resolve operational issuesConduct regular Business Critical and Security Audits of Build System Infrastructure. Remediate vulnerabilities.Participate in regular Product Ops meetings to coordinate DevOp team activities with goal of meeting internal stakeholder’s requirements necessary to ship productMeet regularly with DevOps team members to coordinate activity (grooming sessions, daily syncs)Clearly communicating program status to upper management and ensure that data is presented in a consistent and easy to understand manner leading to actionable conclusionsContinuously strive for process improvements for Build System infrastructure.
