Job description

We are a casual mobile game publisher (Gimica) and leading loyalty platform operator (JustPlay).
Our team is expanding, and we’re seeking a talented Level Designer to help shape our next generation of casual games. You’ll be working across a variety of genres, collaborating with other developers and artists. Additionally, you'll take on general game design tasks, helping to create and refine game systems and overall vision.
This role offers the flexibility to work fully remotely, or hybrid from our office in Munich. Join one of the largest casual games publishers in the market, where our games are enjoyed by millions of players (our solitaire game is one of the top most downloaded card games in the US). This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a both rapidly growing and already massively scaled business.

Responsibilities

Design and create engaging levels across multiple casual game genres.
Collaborate to develop game concepts, mechanics, and player experiences.
Work closely with artists and developers to ensure cohesive level design and implementation.
Analyze game metrics and user feedback to improve level designs and overall gameplay.
Participate in playtesting sessions, iterate on designs based on feedback, and ensure balance and flow in levels.
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of your designs and iterations.

Requirements
2+ years of experience in Level Design for mobile games.
Familiarity with casual game genres (e.g., puzzle, match-3, idle games) and understanding of what makes these games fun and engaging.
Knowledge of game balancing, pacing, and difficulty curve adjustments.
Strong creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Unity and level design tools and software.
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment and handle multiple projects at once.
Ideally, experience working remotely or with distributed teams.

Benefits
Global benefits (coaching, language courses) and local benefits (gym membership, monthly public transportation ticket, etc.) tailored to our distributed team.
Training Budget: We believe in learning and growing together, offering a personal learning budget for books, workshops, conferences, coaching, etc.
Health and Fitness: Active breaks, sponsored healthy lunches, and a company that genuinely cares about your well-being.
Highly Competitive Salary: We believe that top performers deserve top payment.
Flexible working hours and setup, supporting a good work-life balance whether you're a digital nomad, an office-goer, or somewhere in between.
State-of-the-art technical equipment, including the latest laptops and phones.

Why Us?
A spirited, international, and enthusiastic team, working from over 8+ locations worldwide.
A high level of trust and belonging among employees, with a focus on quality of life, job satisfaction, and professional development.
An opportunity to be part of a company that’s breaking traditional ideas and reshaping how the games industry operates.
