The Manager, Cloud Operations leads a team of Network and System Engineers to build a system infrastructure that is automated, reliable, and secure. The Manager, Cloud Operations will play a key role in increasing customer uptime, reducing opportunities for human error, and ultimately increasing customer satisfaction by planning, design, deployment, project management and recovery procedures for all customer-facing cloud and co-located networking and infrastructure. This role will support Life Cycle Management, Security Response measures, Virtualization, and physical and logical installations. All of this must be done in a fiscally responsible manner by leveraging the best of both public and private clouds. Areas of responsibility include management of people, projects, vendors, networks, servers, databases, deployment pipelines, and storage solutions.

This position reports directly to the Director, Cloud Operations and will be remote WFH in the US.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Provide strong leadership to your team by providing necessary direction while enabling autonomy, helping them work towards their career goals, and holding them accountable to their work product
  • Negotiate network project timelines, resource needs, and technical designs with other organizational leaders to ensure both business and technical needs are met
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure constant availability
  • Responds immediately to network outages, coordinating necessary resources and activities for prompt and appropriate restoration.
  • Work with Cloud Operations, Engineering, Product Management, and Quality Assurance teams to design and build scalable and maintainable deployment pipelines and automation solutions
  • Work with multiple departments across the business to ensure DevOps processes and technologies are integrated into the entire product lifecycle
  • Develop and manage a budget to ensure effective use of capital
  • Proactively conduct capacity and demand planning of systems to ensure the future capabilities of the system are well understood and plans to scales are defined

What You Bring To The Table

  • 3+ years hands on experience leading a technology team.
  • 3+ years in a network role, or overseeing network personnel.
  • Working experience in public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Oracle)
  • Experience implementing and maintaining configuration management tools (Chef, Salt Stack, etc.)
  • Supporting knowledge of operation systems, database, virtualization, and storage technologies (Oracle/Microsoft SQL, Cisco, Windows/Linux, VMware, NetApp)
  • Familiar with best practices in IT management, change management and architecture; examples would be ITIL, COBIT and TOGAF
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field.

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 99,700.00 - 185,000.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
