Join us as GL Manager in our GBS, who will be overseeing all aspects of general ledger, managing a team of 15 great GL Accountants, Sr.GL Accountants/Coordinators and Financial Controllers, to ensure day to day team duties within the area are processed in a timely manner, with the highest quality and according to company policy, GBS procedures and accounting rules, ensuring that service levels meet the requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, engage and motivate team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
- Delegate responsibilities and empower team members to take ownership of their work, while providing mentorship and development opportunities to facilitate their professional growth
- Drive improvement in the processes, optimize operations and achieve efficiencies resulting in quality improvement and allowing scalability, work with process owner and finance project team to simplify, standardise and automate RtR processes
- Monitor team’s performance against targets, identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions as necessary
- Regularly report on performance to manager, providing insights and recommendations for optimization
- Collaborate closely with other internal stakeholders
- Coordination of on-site audit
- Support other GL managers when needed, cover line manager or other GL managers during absences
Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or related area
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience on similar position, preferably in the international global company, or GBS, SSC
- Experience in the people management is nice to have
- Professional certifications will be seen as an asset (ACCA or relevant)
- Good command of the English language
- Second language is seen as an asset
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel etc.)
- Work in accounting system AX/D365/SAP would be an asset
