What success looks like in this role:
As part of the Unisys sales and pursuit process, prospective clients often perform due diligence and/or reverse due diligence activities, as described below:
- Due Diligence (DD): an opportunity for Unisys sales and delivery teams to visit with the customer (either remotely or onsite at customer locations) to understand the details of the prospective customer’s operating environment, expectations for future services, and how the Unisys services will function in the customer’s operational environment. Due diligence allows Unisys to validate solution assumptions before presenting a final bid and solution to the customer.
- Reverse Due Diligence (RDD): as part of the vendor consideration process, prospective clients often like to visit one or multiple Unisys sites globally to see firsthand how our services are delivered. Additionally, prospective clients may also visit existing Unisys clients for reference visits.
This role is designed to oversee, coordinate, manage, and execute both the due diligence and reverse due diligence activities globally. The role will work closely with the Unisys transition, global delivery, and sales support teams to proactively track due diligence opportunities with the sales organizations, train transition and delivery teams on the due diligence processes/tools, and to ensure all components of due diligence are managed and reported according to documented processes. Additionally, this role will have responsibility to provide the strategy, planning, direction, and day-to-day oversight of the execution of all due diligence activities globally.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the day-to-day global due diligence practice execution. Ensure compliance with the existing due diligence methodology and drive consistent execution in all regions
• Meet with sales/pursuit teams proactively to establish visibility to all due diligence opportunities globally
• Maintain pipeline reports showing due diligence and reverse due diligence opportunities globally
• Understand due diligence staffing requirements and submit requests for due diligence team member assignments across delivery organizations
• Establish an end-to-end management of due diligence requests
• Responsible for the quality of the due diligence practices
• Own the end-to-end management of due diligence project requests, working with the Unisys sales support, transition, delivery, commercial managers, and finance teams
• Provide global visibility of the due diligence practice, driving consistency and maintaining a high level of quality in Unisys interaction with our customers
• Prepare and lead quality assurance reviews on the global practice
• Manage the due diligence standards, policies, and procedures including driving regular and timely content review
• Manage the communication of due diligence practices to the greater Unisys teams
• Maintain corporate repositories of all due diligence engagements, and provide trending and improvement strategies
• Develop a deep understanding of the contractual agreements between Unisys and our customers, and identify areas where Unisys can maximize value
• Manage/monitor variations to the methodology that may have a material impact
• Ensure timely execution of due diligence, adhering to the methodology and processes, completing all engagements on time and on budget
• Research industry and technology trends and promote alternatives
• Establish data repositories so all due diligence data can be referenced and decisions driven by the data can be reviewed
• Contribute to the Solution Delivery Framework (SDF) for Transition.
• As assigned, participate in pursuit activities, representing the Transition team.
• As assigned, participate in transition activities under the direction of or in the role of Transition Manager.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- 4-year college degree in Business, Project Management, Communications, or related field
- Must be very detail-oriented with ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills with exceptional verbal and written communication competencies are required
- Must possess an understanding of good governance practices and demonstrate strong project management aptitude
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is required
- Experience in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, and Salesforce applications is preferred
