Job description

Zoom is looking for a government marketing leader to define and execute the strategic go-to-market direction for Zoom’s government product offerings.  The ideal candidate has a blend of strategic mindset, technology expertise and government industry experience.  You understand the direction of government and can use this insight to shape Zoom’s government vision and future direction.  In this role, you will be part of a talented product and marketing team that is spearheading Zoom’s focus on vertical industry solutions including government.  The ability to work closely with sales, product development and other marketing groups to define comprehensive strategies, create compelling content and position Zoom as the technology partner of choice for government organizations worldwide will be key to this role’s success.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Be Zoom’s government industry subject matter expert helping to build and execute on the cross-functional go-to-market strategy to bring new government products, features and capabilities to market.

  • Introduce new Zoom government products and validate industry-specific use cases that provide value and competitive differentiation for targeted customers and unique personas.

  • Create key positioning and narratives to support government product launches and to drive ongoing government product awareness and adoption. 

  • Work with product management and the government sales teams to identify government certifications, regulatory requirements and industry-specific needs globally. 

  • Develop cross-platform government use cases/solutions and identify government partners for application development, integration and go-to-market.

  • Contribute to pricing and naming strategies for Zoom government products.

  • Fully understand the government market, segmentation, and opportunities globally.

  • Create core government content (key messaging documents, videos, presentations, datasheets, white papers, demos and other assets) to increase awareness and interest. 

  • Work closely with the sales enablement team to develop government-specific sales training strategies and plans.

  • Partner with the integrated marketing and digital marketing teams on government content requirements for campaigns, websites, blogs, webinars, and other demand-gen vehicles.

  • Participate in joint customer meetings and industry events to evangelize Zoom government solutions, identify customer requirements and support the sales team in achieving their revenue and growth targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree / MBA (preferred)

  • 10+ years of professional experience in sales and/or marketing roles focused on the government industry

  • Working knowledge of video conferencing, phone, chat, contact center and other Zoom products 

  • Solid understanding of government purchasing vehicles, grant programs, government contracts and government partnerships

  • Knowledge of U.S. Government regulatory requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, StateRAMP, DOD IL4/5/6) and International Government regulatory requirements (e.g., ISMAP Japan, iRAP Australia,UK Cyber Essentials Plus)

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$93,900.00

Maximum:

$217,000.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
