We are seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with a strong background in transcribing depositions and hearings. This 100% remote Independent Contractor position offers unparalleled flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a respected organization in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Process audio recordings with meticulous attention to detail while adhering to established style guides.
  • Produce high-quality verbatim transcripts, ensuring compliance with legal terminology and excellent grammar.
  • Collaborate effectively with the supportive in-office team, seeking guidance when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Significant experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential.
  • Excellent listening skills and adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
  • Outstanding literacy capabilities, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar proficiency.
  • Strong typing skills with a focus on both speed and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and the ability to process sensitive audio/text content.
  • Competence to collaborate in a remote setting and pass a background check.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in legal transcription is required.
  • Court reporting students will be considered for this role.
