VIQ Solutions is at the forefront of the legal transcription industry, providing innovative transcription services to various sectors as legal and judicial agencies embrace modern technology. We are actively seeking skilled Independent Contractors with extensive experience in transcribing legal depositions and hearings for a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Diligently adhere to specific style guides to generate verbatim transcripts.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail while processing audio recordings.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the supportive in-office team for assistance as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
  • Strong adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guidelines.
  • Outstanding literacy skills, including spelling and grammar.
  • Proficient typing skills with a focus on both speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to process sensitive audio/text content (may include offensive material).
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a background check.
  • Court reporting students are also encouraged to apply.
