Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe audio recordings from depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Ensure adherence to specified style guides to produce precise, verbatim transcripts.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail and demonstrate familiarity with legal terminology throughout the transcription process.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential.
  • Exceptional listening skills and strong literacy proficiency, including spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines while adhering to client-specific guidelines.
  • Typing proficiency that encompasses both speed and accuracy.
  • Capability to process challenging audio/text content, which may contain offensive material.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is crucial.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in transcribing legal documents, including depositions and hearings, is necessary.
