Job description

Who We Are

We, the Cisco Compute Technologist team, are focused on the intersection of cutting-edge technologies and purpose-built platforms and solutions from Cisco. We are a highly technical team dedicated to steering compute product platforms and solutions to meet the current and future needs of our customers. We act as a liaison to the field, channel partners, and customers to ensure they understand Cisco’s AI/ML product platform and solution capabilities and benefits. We are also responsible for developing and delivering technical content and collateral, such as demo videos, training seminars, whitepapers, industry event presentations, and more.

Who You Are

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) with a niche focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives to join our Compute Business Unit. This role is pivotal in driving strategic alignment, technical thought leadership, field enablement, and innovation in AI. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with a passion for influencing the direction of compute products and solutions, amplifying Cisco's relevance to AI-driven customer outcomes, and empowering the Compute Technologist team through collaboration.

What You’ll Do

The Technical Marketing team is seeking an expert leader to develop and implement a robust enablement strategy focusing on AI technologies. This role involves identifying skill gaps, creating tailored training programs, and staying abreast of industry trends to keep the team ahead of the curve. You will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and sales teams to gather insights and develop relevant AI-focused training materials. Regular training sessions, workshops, and webinars will be conducted to improve the team's technical and marketing skills. The role also requires building strong relationships with Worldwide (WW) and key vertical teams, maintaining regular touchpoints with Regional Managers, and developing a comprehensive AI content strategy for various social media platforms. You will assist team members in creating and posting effective AI content and produce regular AI thought leadership collateral to ensure internal and external visibility.

  • 4+ years of experience in a technical marketing or engineering role, preferably with a focus on AI in the compute industry
  • Experience with AI technologies, compute infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud technologies
  • Experience in conveying complex concepts and delivering presentations to audiences of varying technical backgrounds
  • Experience with developing and implementing technical training programs

  • Project management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and AI content creation strategies

Why Cisco

#WeAreCisco. We are all unique, but collectively we bring our talents to work as a team, to develop innovative technology and power a more inclusive, digital future for everyone. How do we do it? Well, for starters – with people like you!

Nearly every internet connection around the world touches Cisco. We’re the Internet’s optimists. Our technology makes sure the data traveling at light speed across connections does so securely, yet it’s not what we make but what we make happen which marks us out. We’re helping those who work in the health service to connect with patients and each other; schools, colleges, and universities to teach in even the most challenging of times. We’re helping businesses of all shapes and sizes to connect with their employees and customers in new ways, providing people with access to the digital skills they need and connecting the most remote parts of the world – whether through 5G, or otherwise.

We tackle whatever challenges come our way. We have each other’s backs, we recognize our accomplishments, and we grow together. We celebrate and support one another – from big and small things in life to big career moments. And giving back is in our DNA (we get 10 days off each year to do just that).

We know that powering an inclusive future starts with us. Because without diversity and a dedication to equality, there is no moving forward. Our 30 Inclusive Communities, that bring people together around commonalities or passions, are leading the way. Together we’re committed to learning, listening, caring for our communities, whilst supporting the most vulnerable with a collective effort to make this world a better place either with technology, or through our actions.

So, you have colorful hair? Don’t care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That’s cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us! #WeAreCisco
