Job description

ezURs, a URAC accredited Independent Review Organization, is dedicated to providing comprehensive physician reviewer coverage across the United States. We take pride in our team of credentialed, board-certified physicians who are not only well-versed in evidence-based practices but also actively engaged in clinical practice, ensuring they remain current with advancements in their respective specialties. Our approach emphasizes objective, defensible, and evidence-based evaluations of medical records, concentrating on key aspects such as diagnosis, injury mechanisms, and treatment protocols to assess the appropriateness of care in an unbiased manner.

We are currently in search of Board Certified Family Medicine Physicians to join our esteemed panel of reviewers. This role includes reviewing pre-authorizations, medication assessments, and long-term disability (LTD) or short-term disability (STD) cases for applicants holding an active, unrestricted physician license in New York.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct utilization review and peer assessments across various lines of business, including health, workers’ compensation, and auto liability.
  • Evaluate pre-authorizations, medication reviews, and LTD/STD cases.
  • Provide objective evaluations of medical records, focusing on the appropriateness of care.
  • Collaborate with fellow physicians to ensure high-quality reviews and assessments.

Required Skills

  • Active, unrestricted physician license in New York.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine.
  • Strong comprehension of medical records analysis and utilization review processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.

  • Hold an active, unrestricted physician license in New York with no restrictions or malpractice claims.
