Job Description
As a Global Gap Auditor Technical Reviewer, you will play a crucial role in the mission of NSF International – to protect and improve human health. NSF International is known as the most trusted name in Food Safety. NSF International has been helping businesses in the agriculture and processing industries to navigate the food safety and regulatory environment for more than 70 years. Our extensive suite of food safety and quality services span every link from farm to fork including certification, testing, consulting, auditing, and regulatory compliance. We would like to expand our team with the addition of contract Agriculture Auditors throughout North America (USA and Canada).
Responsibilities
Technical Review of Audit Reports:
Conduct thorough technical reviews of GlobalGAP and PrimusGFS audit reports to verify compliance with certification standards and client requirements.
- Audit Documentation Assessment:
Review audit documentation, including checklists, corrective action responses, and evidence submitted by clients, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to scheme requirements.
Make informed certification recommendations based on the analysis of audit reports and other relevant data.
Provide feedback to auditors, certification bodies, and clients regarding technical issues, non-conformities, or audit results.
- Compliance & Scheme Updates:
Stay current with changes to GlobalGAP, PrimusGFS, and other relevant certification scheme requirements. Ensure that all reviews are conducted in line with the latest guidelines and procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas of improvement in the review process. Assist in developing and updating review guidelines and training materials for auditors.
Provide technical guidance and support to auditors and clients, particularly related to the GlobalGAP and PrimusGFS certification process.
Ensure that all reviews meet the organization’s internal quality standards and certification timelines.
Qualifications
- Recognized training in audit techniques based on QMS, FSMS - 40 hrs.
- HACCP training based on Codex from recognized institution (2 days and within the last 5 years).
- PCQI Training for those doing module 7.
- Education in agriculture/crop based, food or bioscience related discipline, or as a minimum, have successfully completed a higher education course or equivalent qualification in one of those disciplines, with a degree, diploma or certificate from a recognized institution.
- 5 years of experience in agriculture or food industry, but at minimum 2 years in areas such as quality assurance or food safety in food production, manufacturing, retailing inspection or enforcement or equivalent.
- Experience with 10 audit days and 2 different organizations using a GFSI scheme.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and ability to effectively develop professional work. relationships, conflict resolution, decision making, organization and planning.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Computer with MS Windows operating system and own mobile phone.
- Have a business LLC.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- GLOBALG.A.P. training (can be provided by NSF) and online exam.
- 5 years’ on-farm produce experience.
- Prior auditing experience using GFSI scheme.
- Be an approved PRIMUSGFS auditor.
- Experience with sustainability and social accountability standards.
