Your Role:

  • Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank statements. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage accounts payable, and ensure timely payment of bills. Handle accounts receivable, including invoicing clients and tracking outstanding payments.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Payroll: Assist with payroll processing, including calculating wages, benefits, and deductions. Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and manage employee records.
  • Financial Reporting: assist owner and other designated team members to prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and summaries for management review. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize expenses, ensuring that all expenditures are properly documented and accounted for.
  • Tax Preparation: Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Provide necessary documentation for tax filings and audits.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including organizing financial documents, managing filing systems, and preparing reports as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure financial operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Maintain confidentiality and data security.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices. Familiarity with tax regulations and payroll processing.
