Job description

This is a remote position.


Scope:

  • 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

  • Remote work, with availability during Ontario Time business hours (8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday)

  • Handling financial operations for a non-asset based transportation logistics company

  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data across systems


Responsibilities:

  • Send out invoices and follow up on payments

  • Match invoices and bills from suppliers in the system

  • Generate biweekly and monthly financial reports, including APAR and profit/loss statements

  • Handle approximately 1,000 transactions per month (12,000 per year)

  • Work with QuickBooks Online and integrate data from the company’s TMS (Truck Management System)

  • Process various payment methods including checks, EFT, wire transfers, and e-transfers

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

Requirements:

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in generating and interpreting financial reports

  • Adaptability to learn new systems, such as TMS integration
