Mental Health Practitioner / Advanced Nurse Practitioner


Are you a Registered Nurse or Registered Social work who is looking for more work life balance - a role where the hours are 9-5 , Monday to Prodiay? Location: You will be based from Home but your role will require some travel to services so you can understand the people we support and the recovery centre approach required. The role will cover services in Bristol, Birmingham, Coventry, Oxford, Swindon


Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week


Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Pension + 33 days of annual leave (including bank holidays) + other benefits

As a Quality and Practice Practitioner, you will use your expertise in mental health to support recovery and independence for people who have been in hospital and are preparing for rehabilitation. You will be instrumental in driving high-quality, person-centered care within our services, working closely with local authorities, the NHS, and the Ministry of Justice. This is an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses or Social Workers looking to shift from demanding shift patterns into a structured Monday-to-Friday role, where your experience can create a lasting impact.

The Role:

As a key member of our Mental Health Division, you will:

  • Collaborate with scheme managers to promote a culture of positive risk-taking and best practice within supported housing schemes.
  • Provide expert clinical and practice-based guidance to improve governance, risk management, safeguarding, and care standards.
  • Build strong partnerships with local health care teams and voluntary services to ensure a multi-agency approach.
  • Support team resilience through reflective practice sessions, post-incident debriefing, and training.
  • Develop recovery-oriented, person-centered care plans, incorporating risk management strategies.
  • Promote proactive support for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.


About You:

We are seeking professionals who are passionate about mental health and who bring:

  • A formal health and social care qualification allowing registration with a UK professional body (e.g., Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Social Worker).
  • Significant experience in frontline mental health services (either in community or inpatient settings).
  • A strong understanding of mental health and co-occurring conditions, as well as the ability to develop recovery-focused care plans.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • IT proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to help drive the digital transformation of our care practices.

Post-qualifying experience or specialist training in areas like trauma-informed practice, forensic pathways, or community mental health services will be advantageous.
