Sales Manager - Home Based - ARD1045402

We’re on the hunt for a talented Sales Manager to join our team to identify opportunities within new and existing broker relationships, leveraging market insights to prospect, qualify leads and close deals. You will work closely with Underwriters, and the Sales Executives, to ensure that we deliver an improvement in our quote and new business metrics in line with the MGA Commercial Budget and Plans.

As the UK Commercial MGA for Ardonagh Advisory; a Gold rated Investor in Customer insurance business, Geo specialise in Agriculture, Construction, Specialist Commercial, Marine, Leisure and Protection.

What does a Sales Manager at Geo do?

Responsibilities

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all the following:

  • Responsible for the overall Broker relationship across the Commercial MGA.
  • Gather broker information from profiling to understand the opportunity across our Specialisms.
  • Develop a pipeline of opportunity at both a strategic and transactional level, across your panel.
  • Collate and use broker performance data to inform account decisions.
  • Deliver appropriate MI, including Broker account details and New Business activity reports, to support the business in achieving or exceeding budget
  • Help develop marketing initiatives and campaigns that will generate leads and enquiries into our Underwriting teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the New Business and Development Underwriting teams.
  • Report on activity, prospects, local market feedback etc.
  • Arrange specific training sessions between brokers and underwriters within all Specialisms to improve understanding of appetite.

What are we looking for in our next Sales Manager?

  • Experience in Strategic Account Management principles, broker profiling and segmentation.
  • Knowledge of the broker market and strong network of relationships in the UK Broking community.
  • A track record of business development, Broker performance management and controls.
  • A good understanding of commercial insurance products.
  • Strong written and presentation skills.
