Job description

Our client, a leading producer of innovative ingredients and solutions within the personal care industry, is looking to strengthen its sales team with the recruitment of an Area Sales Manager to cover France and the European market. This role offers flexibility to work from home,providing an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking a home-based position.



Position Overview

As the Area Sales Manager, you will report directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, focusing on sales promotion and activities in France and Europe. You will play a vital role in building commercial relationships, managing a diverse portfolio of direct clients and distributors, and expanding market share.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional with a strong background in the cosmetics industry to take on a key position within a growing company that values innovation and sustainability.



Key Responsibilities




  • Develop and implement commercial strategies for the European market (France, Germany, UK, etc.), focusing on bio-based ingredients.

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of direct customers and distributors, including buyers and experts in formulation and microbiology.

  • Work closely with business partners to increase our client’s market presence and leadership.

  • Organize and lead distributor seminars, webinars, and represent the company at key cosmetic fairs within your region.

  • Prospect new clients and identify opportunities to drive sales growth within the bio-based ingredients sector.

  • Stay informed on regulatory developments in the cosmetics industry and ensure compliance.

  • Provide regular, comprehensive reports on sales activities and results to management.



Profile




  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology with a focus on Cosmetics.

  • 3-5 years of sales experience in the cosmetics ingredients sector.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a business and customer-oriented approach.

  • Autonomy, capable of working without direct supervision.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative team spirit.

  • Positive attitude, dynamic, and results-driven.

  • Proficient in French and English (required); German proficiency is an advantage.

  • Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally (minimum 50% of the time).

  • A valid driving license is required.
