Policy and Public Affairs Officer (Northern Ireland) (19604)

We are seeking a Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Northern Ireland). The postholder will work closely with the Senior Policy and Public Affairs Lead for Northern Ireland to support the development and implementation of Barnardo's Northern Ireland's influencing plan with a view to raising the profile and influence of Barnardo's amongst policy stakeholders and decision-makers to create positive change in children's policy.

The role offers the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of policy and public affairs influencing including: conducting research, producing reports, monitoring policy developments, liaising with policy stakeholders, supporting reactive policy work and event management to publicise our work. The postholder will work to put the voices of children, young people, families, and our services are at the heart of Barnardo's influencing.

Interviews are anticipated to be held in Barnardo's NI Regional Office in Belfast w/c 14th October.

This role will be home based but will require travel to Belfast and/or other parts of Northern Ireland for in-person meetings as required. The position is offered on a 0.6 FTE basis (21.75 hours per week).

Hours: 21.75 hours per week

Salary: £32,168 - £43,436 FTE
