Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure and expertise in building and maintaining DevOps pipelines. You will be responsible for setting up, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and improving overall system reliability.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Azure Cloud Setup & Management:

    • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud environments using Microsoft Azure services (e.g., VMs, Storage Accounts, Networking, Databases).
    • Set up and configure Azure resources such as Virtual Networks, Subnets, VPNs, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
    • Manage and automate Azure infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM Templates, Terraform, or Azure CLI.
  • DevOps Pipeline Implementation:

    • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Azure Pipelines) to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications.
    • Collaborate with development teams to ensure the seamless integration of applications into the DevOps workflow.
    • Implement automated build, test, and release pipelines for various development environments (e.g., Dev, Staging, Production).
  • Automation & Monitoring:

    • Implement infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.
    • Set up monitoring and alerting for infrastructure health and application performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or other logging and monitoring tools.
    • Ensure system security, compliance, and backup strategies in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Collaboration & Best Practices:

    • Work closely with software engineers, architects, and product managers to ensure a smooth software development lifecycle.
    • Provide guidance on best practices for DevOps processes, source code management (Git), and configuration management.
    • Stay updated on the latest Azure services, DevOps tools, and methodologies to continuously improve systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Azure, including resource setup, networking, security, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation and configuration management.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation, optimization, and monitoring in a cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
  • Experience in deploying microservices architectures and serverless technologies (Azure Functions).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in a collaborative team environment.
