Job Description
The Scrum Management discipline at Anywhere provides the following: Create and maintain the standards and best practices around the Agile Product Development discipline at Anywhere. Recommend and implement the various tools involved in the Agile Product Development process at Anywhere (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Guide and coach the Scrum Teams on how to use Scrum practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services. Work with Scrum Teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and drive execution and accelerate the delivery of business value. Collaborate with the teams in scheduling work, including defect remediation and refactoring, guarding against the accumulation of technical debt Manage and report on the scope, schedule, success and execution metrics, resourcing, and financials of products and projects
This leader will report to the SVP of the Agile Program and Project Management Office. They will work with the SVP to lead our Digital transformation efforts across the enterprise, including managing change management programs, and on optimizing our Agile processes across Anywhere.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the Agile Coaching mindset and discipline – mentoring the current agile program managers towards becoming coaches and reviewing current team dynamics and processes to move from doing agile to being agile.
- Establish and manages the internal Agile Training process and discipline
- Establish the change management processes and discipline across Anywhere and manage the execution
- Lead our process optimization disciplines – focus is on optimizing processes and associated metrics / reporting to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partners other leaders to drive the continued organizational and cultural digital transformation.
- Over time as we scale teams this role may assume some portfolio leadership like Tracy and John
- Lead process improvement workshops as needed.
- Guides and coaches the Scrum Teams on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
- Helps teams to achieve a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
- Works with Scrum Teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational projects or product teams.
- Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
- Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the teams and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
- Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving.
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
Experience
- 10+ years leading teams and managing people
- 5-7 years of Agile Leadership and Agile Coaching experience
- Experience leading Digital Transformations
- Process optimization leadership

- Scrum Certifications, PMO certifications
- Scrum Certifications, PM/PMP certification
- Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
- Exceptional people skills. Comfortable working with a diverse group of people and serving as arbitrator when conflicts arise.
- Excellent skills and knowledge of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, coaching, collaboration, and increasing transparency
- Knowledge of multiple agile frameworks (i.e., Scrum, XP, Kanban, Nexus, LeSS, SAFe, , etc), and understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
- Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
- Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
- The ability to distinguish between what "is Scrum" what is "not Scrum"
- Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Visio, and all MS Office Tools
- Understanding of financial controls needed in project management and consulting work, experience with budget tracking
- In-depth Understanding of Agile and product metrics
- Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc)
Education, And Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of product development experience in Agile
- Masters degree in Information Technology preferred
- Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc.
