Yale School of Medicine is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to design and facilitate workshops, collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and develop innovative learning solutions.
Key responsibilities include: Designing and facilitating workshops. Conducting needs analysis with project stakeholders. Analyzing workshop feedback and identifying trends; knowledge of the Kirkpatrick model. Managing courses in Yale’s learning management system. Leading logistical execution for in-person workshops. Developing content using ADDIE and SAM methodologies. Partnering with other learning and development groups across the School of Medicine and the greater University to ensure there is alignment and operational efficiencies. Creating communication strategies and marketing solutions to create learner engagement.

Essential Duties
- Establish systems, procedures and project plans to manage Learning & Development programs. 2. In partnership with the L&D team design and establish training materials and facilitate training and workshops. 3. Collect, analyze, and maintain Learning & Development evaluation data. Monitor and provide training and L&D reports to leadership. 4. Manage and maintain the Learning & Development website by conceptualizing and maintaining uploaded content and by providing updates to the Yale University Web Services Department (ITS group). 5. Build and maintain relationships with diverse business units, internal, and external customers. 6. Establish procedures and set the standards for triaging inquiries, scheduling classes, organizing events, updating training programs. 7. Other duties as required by the Learning & Development team.
Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, organizational communication, or related field and 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Experience with data analysis and report administration.
Required Skill/Ability 1
Design and deliver workshops/presentations to audiences of varying size in both virtual and in-person settings.
Required Skill/Ability 2
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of other Microsoft applications is preferred.

Able to analyze and summarize large data sets.

Multi-task in a constantly changing and fast-paced work environment.

Must display excellent verbal and written communication.
Preferred Education, Experience And Skills
Knowledge of, or familiarity with, personality/behavioral-based assessments, coaching models and learning analytics. Experience in the healthcare industry.

This role may require the incumbent to move furniture and carry boxes to setup training rooms for workshops.
