Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager
Location: Remote
Work Shift: PST
Working Hours: 40 hrs/week (Full-time)
Rate: TBD (depending on experience)

Job Overview:

The Senior Accounting Manager will lead and optimize the company's accounting functions while ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and company policies. This role is essential for overseeing financial operations, providing strategic leadership to the accounting team, and driving continuous improvements in financial processes. As a key advisor to senior management, the Senior Accounting Manager will help shape the company's financial strategies through deep financial analysis and insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Guidance: Provide strategic oversight and expert guidance to the accounting team, helping them navigate complex accounting issues and achieve operational excellence.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial processes, delivering detailed financial reports in line with official standards.
  • Financial Analysis & Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of robust financial analysis, offering strategic insights that drive business decisions and enhance profitability.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to GAAP, financial regulations, and internal control policies. Proactively monitor and address changes in financial laws.
  • Audit & Compliance Coordination: Manage the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation of financial data.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to improve financial documentation and data integrity, ensuring smooth interdepartmental financial operations.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to financial policies, procedures, and systems to streamline operations, improve accuracy, and increase efficiency.
  • Strategic Partner: Act as a key financial advisor to senior leadership, offering expert recommendations on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA certification is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Preferably has experience working in the Agricultural and/or Manufacturing industries.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience managing accounting functions in a remote environment is preferred.
