You will be a key member of the Provenir AI team, which is responsible for all aspects of data, analytics, and ML/AI at Provenir.

The team fosters a vibrant and collaborative culture. We are a passionate group of professionals who thrive on the intersection of data and engineering.

Our team is driven by a shared enthusiasm for innovation and continuous learning. We encourage creativity and value diverse perspectives, promoting an environment where everyone's ideas are heard and respected.

Collaboration and knowledge sharing are at the core of our work ethic, as we believe that great things are achieved by working together.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Lead QA Engineer to build and lead a world-class QA and automated testing team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mission-critical financial applications and services. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement robust testing strategies, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of quality throughout the organisation.

Your Responsibilities 🚀

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy, encompassing unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of automated testing frameworks, leveraging the latest tools and technologies to optimise test coverage and efficiency.
  • Mentor and lead a team of talented QA engineers, fostering their professional growth and aligning their efforts with the company's quality objectives.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to identify and address quality risks, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Implement robust quality assurance processes, including test planning, test case design, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in software testing, continuously exploring new approaches to enhance the team's capabilities.
  • Contribute to the overall engineering strategy, providing insights and recommendations to improve the software development lifecycle and delivery processes.

Your Experience 🛠️

  • Extensive experience (12+ years) in software quality assurance, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing QA teams.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks, including experience with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and DevOps, and their impact on quality assurance practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and address complex quality issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the QA and software engineering domains.
  • Although not essential, it would be great if you have experience with:
  • Experience in the fintech or financial services industry, with a deep understanding of the unique quality challenges in this domain.
  • Familiarity with performance testing, load testing, and security testing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with test data management and test environment provisioning.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and containerization technologies.
  • While we value experience in the areas listed above, we understand that you may not be familiar with every single aspect. We encourage you to apply if you are confident in your ability to learn and grow, even if your current experience doesn't cover all the specified criteria.
